Trip to near city, Ogden

So we went to Ogden for a short small family road trip.

Ogden is about one hour drive to North on I-15 from Salt Lake City.

It is an old rail road town in UT. Now days, well, let's say, people do not go there to have a vacation....

So where we went? We went to visit a train museum. Here is the web site.http://www.theunionstation.org/

They have a train museum, automotive museum and gun museum inside of the Union Station.

For little H, this is the first experience to go to a museum. What does he think about.... ?
"Hunnn, where am I?"

Inside, something to read....
Little H is weighed and ready to go on a train trip?Auto museum part is like this...We found the old gas meter!!!! It is kinda cool. At gas station, a worker actually pumps the gas to fill the top part of the tank (glass part with numbers), then drain the gas till you fill the tank. So these numbers inside of the glass tank tells how much you put the gas into your car. Cool, and clever, yea?

We saw 1903 car... the motor is in back. It looks like a horse carriage. Yes, we are talking with an old gentleman who is volunteer at the auto museum and he shared a story about his first car. It was before WWII. Wow! That is a history! "Yes, mom, I am listening.. (by little H)" Inside of Union Station..."I love to copy what my dady does!"cool ceiling

So we had a good President day short samll trip! Of, I cannot forget to write about a food. We had a good Southern Food at SLC. Fried chicken, BBQ Rib, Collard Green, Black-eyed peas, coleslaw, potato salad and the last but not the least, peach cobbler!!! Yes. Sorry, folks, I do not have pictures. But they were tasty. Trust me.

Soccer Mom?

Fuku-chan may see the day when Little H will add "soccer mom" to her resume.

Oops missed.
I'm supposed to kick with these?
Let's see, if I stick my thumb here, squint my eye a little... ta da!

A Tale of Two (to four) Hiros

Little H considers the weighty matters of "Does daddy see me doin' stuff" and the like, from multiple perspectives: Mano e mano or tete-a-tete;

Through the looking glass (as Little H wonders, "can daddy fully appreciate how I'm handling the faucet when he has the silver-metallic rectangle in front of his eyes?");

Or the vantage point from the right (here), as Plato affectionately called it, two removes from heaven. Okay, so he wasn't actually looking at me from there. But he does. When tummy-time and lap-time draw to a close (signalled by a series of evocative grunts) we'll then explore the fascinating environs of the bathroom sink. He'll spend the first five minutes looking at me from all four directions. I love it, of course, because he tends to smile at me each time our eyes meet (or, should I say, the photons bouncing off our eyes bounce into each other's photo receptors?)

Sometimes, the situation calls for serious introspection. If one can't get in touch with oneself, how can one begin to believe the rest isn't all simply smoke and mirrors?

Needle in Bib!!!

Wow, I was so surpprised and upset when I found the needle in bib.
I washed a little Hiro's bib and was folding it... "Ah!" Somthing stinged my finger!
I checked the bib and what I found???
NEEDLE!!!!

Broken sewing machine needle was sticking out from the bib.
Luckly, I am the only one who stinged and hurt. Not little Hiro.
I was greatful for a protection that Heavenly Father gave to little Hiro.
Well, I decided to call Carter's and let them know.

Respond was even more surpprising... "Well, we will send you a prepaid envelop and please send them back to us. We will send him a little toy and we will reinvers you the price of the bib..."

Well, my husband alreaday warned me that they are not going to do much since no one was hurt.
If someone was hurt, that is TOOO late!!!

Bottom line is, corporate does not care customers, but themselve. I mean they are not reiable therefore, there is nothing they need to do...

There was no apporogy at all. Even one "sorry."

I know I onnly talked to the customer service representative, but it will be nice to show thier approgy.....

I hope this will never happen. I have to say that they are lucky that I do not sue them!

So, HTML....

So, I realised that blog uses HTML and I had no idea how to write HTML. I was frustrated because I could not make the blog the way I wanted to. Like posting a picture and text side by side, etc....

I decided that I need to study a little about HTML. Jens has a book called

HTML For the World Wide Web.

I successfully changed the font size and color!!! Yes.

Now, I try to link my Yahoo Japan blog. "Yama no fumoto de"If you are interested and read Japanese here you go!

And I try to attach the picture and text on the side. By the way, I purchased these items at IKEA for Hiro-chan. I wanted to type the text left side of the picture.

I guess I learned somethings today.

Hiro has a magic????

He loves to rub his feet together and his socks comes off from his feet.

So it starts like this...

5 minutes later.....

Yap, it is my daily routine to put his socks back....

Hiro's favorite place

Little Hiro has a favorite place. Generaly, people think that it is not a fun place to be. But for 5 months old, Hiro certanly thinks that it is Disney Land.

Well, we do not have to pay for the airplane fee so it is great for us. Check it out!!!!
He finds a book to read while he is enjoying his own relaxing time.

So how is your book coming?

His answer was "Ah!"

I hope that you enjoy your book, little Hiro.

Hirochama Hand Vampire

You can see his preparation. He checks to see if I'm looking. Will he lay me back down? He asks. Or will his attention lapse; leaving an opening for a mouth to hand attack? It's a good question.

All that effort and... Score! He has an opening. And with it (BANZAI!) he goes for the hand. There are no teeth protruding from those fearsome gums but a somewhat prodigious amount of slobber oozes in a distinctly Lestatian fashion. That's my little Hirokun, Slobberpire

During church meeting....

So, this is my first update.

Well, little H is the most popular boy in our branch. Everyone passes by "oh, he is so cute..." Of cause I am a proude mom. (big smile) However, there is a big accident yesterday...

Little H decided to announce his presence to all relife society ladies by making a really loud noise from his bottom!!!!! I was holding him on my lap and there is a big noise came out.

Oh No!!!! It was too late. Couple of sisiters had big smiles and looking at me.

I wanted to tell the world "No. It was not me!!!! It was little H!"

Well, I was moving my mouth "Sorry..." with stroling little H's head. I was hoping that they noticed it was little H. But I do not think it was effective....

Well, little H, next time when you have some comment, you need to talk!

bedtime for little h

Just before reading before sleep, today, I layed Little H on the bed like this to brush his hair with a soft toothbrush dedicated to the task. I crouched over him, looking from his face to his hair. Little H reached, touched my cheek, and rested his hand on my shoulder while I brushed his locks.

Little H is cute

He's five months old. He can roll over. He likes to straddle a leg and push himself up from the floor, chair, or couch. On special occasions (basically every day) he yearns for a stint in the bathroom sink. It fits him, or he fits in it. He can keep himself sitting by pushing the edge of the sink with his legs. He has a lot a to say about it. His reflection and me, his dad, certainly get an earful when we hang with him there.

This was his practice position. He still likes the angled vantage point, but he's good hanging around on his tummy without support now.
S. snapped this while I was sleeping late one Saturday morning. Little H likes to manipulate my face while I'm anywhere near him.
